Big Shaver

The "Big Shaver" is the big brother to our "Lil' Shaver" neck knife.  The Lil' Shaver design has been very popular over the last several years, so by request, we are offering a bigger version of it. 

The Big Shaver has a blade length of 4 1/8" with an overall length of 8".  The blade is made from the same 1095 steel as most of our other knives.  The spine is 1/8", flat ground to a razor-like edge.  The ball grip handle (sometimes called a modified bird's beak)  can be had in stag or aged polished bone.  The sheath can be worn as either a neck knife or a belt knife.  When carried on the belt it can be a great companion to the Lil' Shaver neck knife...ready to do any task that might be too big for its little brother.
 

Some time ago, Ron LaClair had the opportunity to field test the Big Shaver.  He said, "I must say it is well named.  The thin blade takes an extraordinarily sharp edge and HOLDS it.  The size of the blade will handle any task you set before it, and its old-timey style is pleasing to the eye.  A one-knife man couldn't go wrong with a Big Shaver on his side, but for the outdoorsman who likes to be prepared for any situation, I can't think of a better combination than the Big AND Lil' Shaver... they make a great team."
