"We know there is no such thing as the perfect knife for all jobs. From large camp knives to small neck knives, they each have their purpose. And how could we get along without our 'jack knives' that we carry in our pockets every day?
When it comes to a belt knife that will ride on the hip and do almost everything you need it to do, I don't think you can beat a good drop-point blade in the 3.5 to 4 inch length. A solid high carbon steel blade that even a novice knife sharpener can put an edge on is a must! That was the goal we had in mind when C.L.Matteo and I set out to create a belt knife that every outdoorsman would want to have on his hip when he hit the bush.
The style of this knife is pleasing to the eye, and the spirit of the craftsman gives the blade a life of its own. The feel of the stag when I hold it in my hand... speaks to me from the past. I don't think anything says "old timey" like stag... it is my favorite handle material.
I'm proud of the results of our joint efforts...so much so that I've had my name stamped on the blade on the opposite side of the blacksmith's trademark. When you get your new knife, hold it... feel it... and use it. It won't let you down!
I hope you like it as much as I do... It has long been our most popular knife."
